WHO CAN JOIN: Any child NOT yet ready for the Regular Children's Choir (unable to read)
Welcome to the St. John's Preschool Chours!
Recently we looked around and realized that we have many young children
who were not yet ready to sing with the “Children Choir", but needed an opportunity
to participate in the worship service. The Pre-school Chorus provides these children with a way to make
a joyful noise and be part of the liturgy too.
The Preschool Chorus is primarily for children between the ages of 3 and 5. Younger
and older children are welcome. No one knows your child like you, so we would
encourage you to sit in on the rehearsals to make sure this is the right fit for your child.
Our goal right now is to learn some fun simple songs and then sing them at church, probably
once a month. Rehearsals will last between 20 minutes to half an hour. That's
how much time you can hold the focus for kids in this age group. We will sing. clap,
stomp our feet and have fun. During the Mass, the children will probably sing after communion.
Osmani will be adding updates on this website as we commence rehearsals on anything pertaining
to the Chorus. i.e. When they will be singing at the actual mass liturgy.
